A graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, he became interested in acting while in middle school and trained in drama with his grandmother\u2019s support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He began his career with several short films, including <em>Repatriation<\/em> (2000), <em>The Camel<\/em> (2008), <em>Thorn-Hearted<\/em> (2010) and <em>The Out Boxer<\/em> (2011). This film earned him the Face in Shorts Award at the Asiana International Short Film Festival in 2012. In 2014, he made his television debut in <em>Three Days<\/em>, and then to commercial cinema in <em>The Target<\/em>. At the same time, he has been pursuing a career in theater, notably in <em>True West<\/em>, <em>Old Wicked Songs<\/em>, <em>Judo Boy<\/em> and <em>The Pride<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His fame grew in 2019 thanks to the thriller <em>Strangers from Hell<\/em>, in which he plays the mysterious Yoo Gi-hyuk. He then landed a leading role in <em>Search<\/em> (2020), before appearing in <em>She Would Never Know<\/em> and above all <em>Mine<\/em> (2021). His portrayal of Han Ji-yong in the latter earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Baeksang Arts Awards. He went on to star in <em>Remarriage &amp; Desires<\/em> (2022) and <em>Song of the Bandits<\/em> (2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, he will play Yi Bang-won, the future King Taejong, in the historical drama <em>The Queen Who Crowns<\/em>, and then reprises his role as Hyun Woo-yong in <em>Shark: The Storm<\/em>. In 2026, he plays the role of Lee Do-gyeong in <em>Gold Land<\/em>, appears in <em>Boyfriend on Demand<\/em> and <em>The Hunt Is in Their Blood \u2013 Season 2<\/em>, and plays Kim Beop-min, the future King Munmu, in <em>King Munmu the Great<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In film, his filmography also includes <em>#Alive<\/em> (2020), <em>The Policeman\u2019s Lineage<\/em> (2022), <em>The Plot<\/em> (2024) and <em>Dream Journey to the Land of Peach Blossoms<\/em> (2026).<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":10124,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true,"_sitemap_exclude":false,"_sitemap_priority":"","_sitemap_frequency":""},"class_list":["post-10123","acteur","type-acteur","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 -
