He made his television debut in 2003 in <em>All In<\/em>, in which he plays the younger version of the character portrayed by Lee Byung-hun. He went on to appear in several films and TV series, which helped him build a solid reputation as an actor, often associated with intense or determined characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the big screen, he has appeared notably in <em>A Bittersweet Life<\/em>, <em>A Dirty Carnival<\/em>, <em>Epitaph<\/em> and <em>Truck<\/em>. He gained true critical acclaim in 2009 with <em>Mother<\/em> by Bong Joon-ho. His portrayal of Jin-tae earned him several awards, including Best Supporting Actor at the Grand Bell Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He went on to make films such as <em>The Showdown<\/em>, <em>Moby Dick<\/em>, <em>26 Years<\/em>, <em>The Target<\/em>, <em>The Admiral: Roaring Currents<\/em>, <em>It's So Good<\/em> and <em>Northern Limit Line<\/em>. At the same time, he plays the lead role in <em>Advertising Genius Lee Tae-baek<\/em> in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His international popularity skyrocketed in 2016 thanks to <em>Descendants of the Sun<\/em>. In it, he plays Seo Dae-young, a special forces soldier whose relationship with Yoon Myung-joo becomes one of the most beloved aspects of the series. He then goes on to <em>Night Light<\/em> in 2016, and then <em>Untouchable<\/em> in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After spending a few more years focusing on film, Jin Goo returned to television with several leading roles. In 2019, he played Go Tae-rim in <em>Legal High<\/em>. In 2022, he went on to <em>Superior Day<\/em>, <em>Veteran Detective<\/em> and <em>The King of the Desert<\/em>. He briefly reprises his role as Kook Jin-han in <em>Shadow Detective Season 2<\/em> in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, he played Hwang Dae-ung in <em>The Auditors<\/em>. The following year, he played the lead role of Kim Han-cheol in <em>The Moon Flows Over the River<\/em> and appears in <em>My Lovely Journey<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, Jin Goo continues with <em>New Employee Chairman Kang<\/em>, in which he plays Kang Jae-seong, and makes a cameo appearance in <em>The Legend of Kitchen Soldier<\/em>.
