She began her career in 2010 with an appearance in the thriller <em>The Murderer<\/em>, before going on to play numerous small roles in film and television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the 2010s, she appeared notably in the following films <em>The Russian Novel<\/em>, <em>Hwayi<\/em>, <em>Rough Play<\/em>, <em>Park Hwa-young<\/em> and <em>Hostage: Missing Celebrity<\/em>. On television, she gradually began to make a name for herself in <em>Welcome to Waikiki<\/em>, <em>Just Dance<\/em>, <em>Doctor John<\/em>, <em>365: Repeat the Year<\/em> and <em>My Holo Love<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her career took on an international dimension in 2021 when she played Ji-yeong, Player 240, in the Netflix series <em>Squid Game<\/em>. Despite her relatively limited screen time, her character leaves a strong impression on viewers. This performance earned her the 2022 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, making her the first South Korean actress to receive this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She reaffirmed her popularity in 2022 with <em>All of Us Are Dead<\/em>, in which she plays Lee Na-yeon, a high school student with a particularly rebellious attitude. That same year, she landed the lead role of Cha Ga-eul in <em>Mental Coach Jegal<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2023, Lee Yoo-mi plays the title role in <em>Strong Girl Nam-soon<\/em>, in which she plays Gang Nam-soon, a young woman with supernatural powers. She goes on to star in <em>Mr. Plankton<\/em> in 2024, in which she plays Jo Jae-mi alongside Woo Do-hwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, she appears in the Netflix thriller <em>As You Stood By<\/em>, playing the role of Hui-su. The series continues to shift toward darker, more dramatic characters after several roles with strong comedic or fantastical elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside her success on television, Lee Yoo-mi continues to work in film.
