She lived in the United Kingdom for several years starting in her teens and studied textile design at Central Saint Martins in London before returning to South Korea to pursue a career in acting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She began her career as a commercial model and was named CF Model of the Year at the 2011 Asia Model Festival Awards. She adopted the stage name Jung Eun-chae to avoid confusion with actress Park Sol-mi. Her film debut came in 2010 with the fantasy thriller <em>Haunters<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She then alternated between commercial films and arthouse films. In 2013, her leading role in <em>Nobody's Daughter Haewon<\/em>, directed by Hong Sang-soo, marked an important milestone in his career and earned him several awards and nominations. His subsequent work included, notably, <em>The Fatal Encounter<\/em>, <em>Hill of Freedom<\/em>, <em>The King<\/em>, <em>The Table<\/em>, <em>The Great Battle<\/em> and <em>Someone You Loved<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On television, she appears in <em>My Bittersweet Life<\/em> in 2011 and then in <em>Dr. Frost<\/em> in 2014. She returned to television in 2018 with <em>Return<\/em> and above all <em>The Guest<\/em>, in which she plays Detective Kang Gil-yeong. In 2020, she played Prime Minister Goo Seo-ryung in <em>The King: Eternal Monarch<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She then plays Hyeon-joo in <em>Anna<\/em> in 2022, and then Choi Kyung-hee in the two seasons of <em>Pachinko<\/em>. In 2024, she plays the role of Prosecutor Kang So-young in <em>Your Honor<\/em> and plays Moon Ok-gyeong in <em>Jeongnyeon: A Star Is Born<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, she landed another leading role in a legal thriller <em>Honor<\/em>, in which she plays Kang Shin-jae. She is also set to appear in <em>Flex X Cop Season 2<\/em> as Ju Hye-ra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2023, Jung Eun-chae has been working with her own management company, Project Hosoo.
