She made her debut in the entertainment industry at a very young age: at just 15, she became a singer and dancer in the girl group LUV, which was active from 2002 to 2003. After the group disbanded, she turned to acting and studied theater and film at Dongguk University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She began acting on television in 2003 in <em>Sharp 1<\/em>, before appearing in a number of TV series such as <em>H.I.T.<\/em>, <em>The Great King, Sejong<\/em> and <em>Dong Yi<\/em>. Its popularity grew significantly in 2012 thanks to <em>My Husband Got a Family<\/em>, in which she plays Bang Mal-sook. She went on to land several leading roles, notably in <em>Oh Ja Ryong Is Coming<\/em>, <em>Medical Top Team<\/em> and above all <em>Come! Jang Bo Ri<\/em> in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She reaffirms her status as a leading actress with <em>Shine or Go Crazy<\/em> in 2015, <em>Come Back Alive<\/em> in 2016 and <em>My Sassy Girl<\/em> in 2017. That same year, she played Jin Seon-mi in the fantasy series <em>A Korean Odyssey<\/em>, one of her best-known roles internationally. She goes on to <em>Love with Flaws<\/em> in 2019, and then <em>Mad for Each Other<\/em> in 2021 and <em>Minamdang: Case Note<\/em> in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In film, she has notably played the lead roles in <em>Whispering Corridors 5: A Blood Pledge<\/em>, <em>Just Friends<\/em>, <em>Run Off<\/em> and <em>Cheese in the Trap<\/em>, a film adaptation in which she plays Hong Seol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, she returns in a leading role with <em>The Player 2: Master of Swindlers<\/em>, in which she plays Jung Su-min. She then appears in <em>Nice to Not Meet You<\/em> in 2025.
