However, once again, many European subscribers will be left out in the cold. As of this writing, \u00abThe Perfect Lie\u00bb is clearly visible on Disney+ in the United Kingdom, but is missing from the catalog in France and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"477\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/the-perfect-lie-disney-uk.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12429\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/the-perfect-lie-disney-uk.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/the-perfect-lie-disney-uk-767x305.jpg 767w, https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/the-perfect-lie-disney-uk-420x167.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/the-perfect-lie-disney-uk-18x7.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A scenario that brings to mind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/en\/between-steps-premieres-today-on-disney-although-viewers-in-parts-of-europe-still-cant-watch-it\/\">exactly like the one in \u00abBetween Steps\u00bb in early October<\/a>. When Kim So-hyun and Choo Young-woo\u2019s romance series premiered, it was unavailable in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Germany, while subscribers in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan were able to watch it as usual. Everything suggests that Disney+ has, once again, failed to acquire the streaming rights for several European markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is therefore the third K-drama this month that isn\u2019t available everywhere, following \u00abYour Personal Taxi\u00bb\u2014which was announced on Netflix but is available only in Korea\u2014and \u00abBetween Steps.\u00bb For European subscribers, the situation is becoming frustrating: just because a drama is announced as coming \u00abto Disney+\u00bb doesn\u2019t necessarily mean it will be available on <em>them<\/em> Disney+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A psychological thriller in which one of the two is lying<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What makes this absence all the more regrettable is the series\u00ab potential. Directed by Jo Young-min, who also directed \u201c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/en\/kdrama\/you-and-everything-else\/\" data-type=\"kdrama\" data-id=\"1884\">You and Everything Else<\/a> \u00bb, \u00abThe Perfect Lie\u00bb is based on a concept that is as simple as it is effective: a man and a woman give two completely opposing accounts of the same memory. And one of them is lying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yoo Yeon-seok plays Min Joon-ho, a man known for never lying. Seo Hyun-jin plays Kang Ji-sun, who insists with equal conviction that her version of events is the only true one. Caught between them, investigator Lee Hwa-young, played by Ok Ja-yeon, tries to sort out what is true from what is false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"840\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/the-perfect-lie-poster1-1200x840.jpg\" alt=\"the-perfect-lie-poster1\" class=\"wp-image-11332\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/the-perfect-lie-poster1-scaled.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/the-perfect-lie-poster1-420x294.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/the-perfect-lie-poster1-768x538.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kdramakopi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/the-perfect-lie-poster1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A First Date That Was Too Perfect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the suspicions arose, there was the encounter. New stills from the first episode reveal this moment, set on a beach to the rhythm of the waves. Kang Ji-sun has just stepped out of the water after a surfing session, and Min Joon-ho smiles as he hands her a can of coffee. She looks at him with obvious tenderness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A scene straight out of a romantic comedy, which stands in stark contrast to the confrontation to come. At each stage, the actress hopes viewers will keep asking themselves who is lying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abThe Perfect Lie\u00bb premieres this Friday, October 30, at 9:50 p.m. in Korea on MBC, which is 1:50 p.m. in France. It is also available on Disney+ in certain territories, such as the United Kingdom, Japan, and Canada, but not in France at the time of its launch. This is a situation we can only regret, yet again: by depriving part of the audience of legal access, it pushes fans toward illegal streaming and, above all, leaves those who were looking forward to the series truly
