The Story

Pi Na-yeong (Han Soo-a) is a young vampire from Romania who arrives at a Korean school as a new student. Although she lacks social skills and is unfamiliar with human customs, she has her own set of rules and her own unique way of thinking.

Despite her complete lack of ill will, her inability to understand how the human world works leads to a series of embarrassing situations and misunderstandings. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Jang U-ju (Kim Hyun-jin), a high school student who introduces her to the unsettling emotions of love for the first time. But the arrival of Yoo Hyeol (Lee Seung-gyu), another vampire capable of awakening her supernatural instincts, complicates her feelings. Torn between her attraction to a human and her true nature, Na-yeong must learn to understand her heart while finding her place in a world where she doesn’t truly belong.

"Francesca Next Door" is connected to the universe of "Hello, Franceska," a South Korean series that blends comedy and fantasy and centers on a family of vampires. Shim Hye-jin, who played Francesca in the original series, reprises the role here in a special appearance. Park Hee-jin and Park Seul-ki also appear as guest stars, playing An Seong-daek and Sophia, respectively. This fantasy miniseries is set to consist of four episodes of approximately 30 minutes each, with its premiere scheduled for November 6, 2026, on Wavve. It offers a teenage take on the Francesca universe, centered on a high school romance between humans and vampires.
