Park Jin-hee (Park Jin-hee), born on January 8, 1978, in Haenam, is a South Korean actress who has been active since 1996. A graduate of Dongduk Women’s University, she also earned a master’s degree in social work from Yonsei University.
She's making her debut in a drama Start before gaining recognition for the horror film Whispering Corridors (1998). After appearing in several film and television roles, she received praise for her portrayal of a single mother in Stock Flower (2001).
After a hiatus of about a year and a half, she's back with Please Come Back, Soon-ae (2006), which was a huge success. Its popularity grew even further with War of Money (2007), which drew an audience of over 30 %. That same year, she garnered particular attention in the historical thriller Shadows in the Palace, in which she plays a court physician investigating a murder. This performance earned her several awards for Best Actress.
In 2010, she played one of her best-known roles in Giant, a hit series that drew an audience of approximately 40 %. It continues with Fermentation Family (2011), Hur Jun: The Original Story (2013), Memory and Oh My Geum-bi (2016). In 2018, she reprised the lead role in Return after Go Hyun-jung's departure.
She then appeared in Doctor Detective (2019), Love Scene Number and Taxi Driver (2021), and then played Queen Wongyeong in The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won (2021-2022).
In 2026, she returns as the headliner of Pearl in Red (Bulgeun, Jinju), in which she plays a dual role as the twins Kim Myeong-hee and Kim Dan-hee.
