Park Se-young (박세영) is a South Korean actress and singer born on July 30, 1988, in Seoul. A graduate of Sangmyung University with a degree in film and media, she made her first television appearance in 2002 while still a child. However, she stepped away from the entertainment industry to continue her studies before truly resuming her career in 2011 with If Tomorrow Comes.
In 2012, she gained further recognition thanks to several productions, including Man from the Equator, Love Rain and above all Faith, in which she plays Princess Noguk. This role earned her the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards. Around the same time, she joined School 2013 as Song Ha-kyung.
She landed her first leading role in 2013 with A Tale of Two Sisters, then continues with Glorious Day in 2014. In 2015, she made a lasting impression on viewers by playing Oh Hye-sang in My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol. This performance earned her, among other honors, an Award of Excellence at the Korea Drama Awards.
Park Se-young then continues to explore different genres with the medical thriller A Beautiful Mind in 2016 and the legal drama Whisper in 2017. That same year, she played the lead role of Na Mo-hyun in Money Flower. In 2019, she played the role of former judoka Joo Mi-ran in Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo, a performance that won an award at the MBC Drama Awards.
After several years away from the small screen, she’s returning in 2022 in Mental Coach Jegal, in which she plays Park Seung-ha. In 2026, she continued her career with Family Register, in which she plays Na Ji-ni over the course of 120 episodes.
On the personal front, Park Se-young married actor Kwak Jung-wook in 2022, whom she met on School 2013. The couple will welcome a daughter in May 2025.
