Yeri (예리), whose real name is Kim Ye-rim (김예림), was born on March 5, 1999, in Seoul; she is a South Korean singer, rapper, dancer, TV host, and actress. Initially known as a member of Red Velvet, which she officially joined in 2015, she has gradually developed an acting career alongside her musical activities.
His first appearance in a drama was in 2016, with a cameo in Descendants of the Sun, where she appears as a member of Red Velvet. She truly began exploring acting in 2021 with the special drama Drama Stage Season 4: Mint Condition, in which she plays Hong Chae-ri. That same year, she landed her first leading role in Blue Birthday. In it, she plays Oh Ha-rin, a young woman who discovers she can travel back in time through mysterious photographs and tries to prevent the death of her first love. The project’s success led to a film adaptation, Blue Birthday (Movie), released in 2022.
In 2023, Yeri continues to evolve with the special drama Applause, in which she plays Eun-seo. Most notably, she landed one of her most memorable roles in Bitch and Rich, also known as Cheongdam International High School. In it, she plays Baek Je-na, a wealthy, influential, and feared high school student attending a school for the elite. The character becomes significant enough that she takes on the lead role in Bitch x Rich Season 2 in 2025.
Yeri is also expanding her filmography. After voicing a character in Trolls World Tour, in 2025, she plays the lead role of Park Ja-yeong in the horror film Next, also known as The Ghost Game.
In 2026, she continued her acting career with The Man of the Sea, in which she plays Seo An-na in one of the lead roles, confirming her gradual transition from K-pop idol to a full-fledged acting career.
