«Love in Disguise» will blend romance and thriller, centered around Yoon Yi-jun (Yim Si-wan), a third-generation heir to the Taegang Group, and Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah), a former special forces member who became an investigator.
When Yi-jun becomes a suspect in a murder case, Jae-hee is hired undercover as his personal secretary so she can keep a close eye on him. Given her new boss’s personality, this mission is unlikely to be an easy one.
Yim Si-wan and his employees don't let anything slip by
Yoon Yi-jun is among the leading candidates to one day take the helm of the Taegang Group, the country's leading conglomerate in the drama industry.
Ever since childhood, he has been forced to constantly prove that he has the skills and track record necessary to deserve this position. This pressure has gradually made perfection a way of life for him.
Intelligent, with an excellent business sense and a strong sense of judgment, Yi-jun now expects others to meet the same standards of excellence he sets for himself. At work, So even the slightest mistake is enough to upset him.
The new images perfectly capture this aspect of the character. With his impeccable suit, cold gaze, and stern expression, Yi-jun immediately creates a sense of tension around him. His employees know they’re dealing with a demanding leader who leaves virtually no room for sloppiness.
This is a side of him that Jae-hee will have to learn to deal with once she enters his daily life under a false identity. But as she spies on him, she may discover a Yi-jun who is very different from the one her company knows.
At home, Jerry lets his guard down completely
Because the intimidating perfectionist almost completely disappears when he returns home.
Facing her cat Jerry, Yi-jun becomes a particularly affectionate master. The new images show him in comfortable clothes, relaxed and gently stroking his companion—a far cry from the cold man who had been putting pressure on his employees just a few hours earlier.
Jerry thus seems to be one of the few people in whose presence the heir truly agrees to let his guard down.
This contrast adds a more human dimension to the character, whereas the initial portrayals in «Love in Disguise» had focused primarily on his status as an arrogant heir and, above all, on the murder allegations that would hang over him.
It could also take on special significance in her relationship with Jae-hee. By becoming his secretary in order to secretly investigate him, she will gain access to a level of intimacy that few people share with Yi-jun and gradually discover what lies behind his perfectly crafted public image.
Above all, there remains a much more serious question: Is this man, who is capable of being so affectionate with his cat, really involved in the murder he’s suspected of? That’s what Jae-hee will have to find out, all while trying not to let herself be distracted by the various facets of her suspect.
