After confirming Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin for the cast of its new romance a few months ago, KBS2 has finally unveiled a first look at « A Love Other Than Yours » and announces its air date. The drama will officially begin airing on September 12, 2026.
Far from the first meeting and the initial stirrings of love that usually lie at the heart of romantic stories, this time the series will focus on a couple that has reached a much more delicate stage in their relationship: After 10 years together, should we get married… or break up?
A ten-year relationship that's starting to change
«A Love Other Than Yours» will follow Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-jun) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin), who have been a couple for 10 years now.
Over the years, the passion of the early days has gradually given way to something different: trust, loyalty, habits, and the comfort of a relationship built over a decade.
But just when marriage seemed to be the logical next step in their relationship, unexpected emotions begin to surface, calling their certainties into question. The couple thus finds itself torn between two radically opposed possibilities: continuing their relationship all the way to marriage, or accepting that it may have come to an end.
Through their stories, the drama aims to realistically explore how love evolves when the feelings of the early days no longer necessarily resemble those we experience ten years later.
Seo Kang-jun notices that something has changed
Seo Kang-jun plays the role of Namgoong Ho, assistant manager on the TF team at Hunmin Confectionery. Sociable, warm, and with a good sense of humor, he has spent the last 10 years working alongside Lee Mi-do, naturally envisioning a future with her.
However, he gradually begins to notice something different in his girlfriend’s gaze and demeanor—a change that will force him to take a fresh look at this relationship he thought he knew inside and out.
The first images released by KBS2 show the couple on a date at a restaurant. The natural way they look at each other immediately conveys the closeness they’ve built over the years, but a certain reserve already hints at the emotional changes that lie ahead for them.
Ahn Eun-jin begins to have doubts about a future that once seemed certain
Facing him, Ahn Eun-jin The film stars Lee Mi-do as a director who had long taken her marriage to Namgoong Ho for granted. Even during the difficult times in her life, she had never really questioned her future with him.
Yet feelings she hadn't anticipated are beginning to creep into her daily life. For the first time, Mi-do finds herself plagued by doubts about a relationship that had, until then, been one of the few constants in her life.
The production team explains that it aims to portray emotions that many couples in long-term relationships will be able to relate to: «“A Love Other Than Yours” is a realistic romance that captures emotions that anyone who has been in a long-term relationship has probably felt at least once. We hope viewers will follow the comfort and familiarity of this couple in their tenth year together, as well as the subtle emotional shifts that will gradually emerge.»
With this story, Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin are expected to present a more mature romance, where the real question won't simply be whether two characters will fall in love, but what remains of that love after ten years together.
«A Love Other Than Yours» will premiere on September 12 at 9:20 p.m. on KBS2 and on Prime Video internationally.
