There are some neighbors we could certainly do without. In the new teaser for « Good Partner 2 », Park Tae-su, the rival lawyer played by Park Hae-jin, chose to set up his practice just one floor above Cha Eun-kyung's (Jang Nara). Her plan is very simple: to steal his clients. But the star divorce attorney has no intention of letting that happen.
A rival who will stop at nothing
The teaser opens with Park Tae-su, determined to set up shop on the upper floor of REBOM, Cha Eun-kyung’s firm. His strategy is nothing short of bold: by charging half the going rate, he hopes to take over all the cases from the floor below.
And when it comes to getting his name out there, he doesn't do things by halves. The building's walls are covered with posters for his YouTube channel—so much so that Cha Eun-kyung is left speechless. A delightful nod to this a lawyer who is an internet sensation, with 200,000 followers.
«Don't you remember me?»
Another scene shows Park Tae-su popping his head into Cha Eun-kyung's office and asking her if she remembers him. It's a reminder of their shared past: they were classmates in college.
But the lawyer doesn't seem the least bit impressed, and leaves her greetings unanswered.
«A real copycat»
It's Jeon Eun-ho (Pyo Ji-hoon) who reacts the most strongly. Stunned, he asks his boss if she really knows the lawyer Park Tae-su. Cha Eun-kyung’s response is scathing: in her opinion, he’s a total copycat. When she finally decides to settle the matter, Park Tae-su—far from being offended—simply notes that she hasn’t changed a bit.
The tone is set: this rivalry should bring a healthy dose of humor to Season 2, pitting an unyielding Cha Eun-kyung against a Park Tae-su who provokes her with a smile. This dynamic aligns with what the actor described: a lighter character, designed to lighten the mood of a series that tackles topics that can sometimes be heavy.
