Choi Jin-hyuk (Choi Jin-hyuk), born on February 9, 1986, in Mokpo, is a South Korean actor. He first gained recognition in 2006 when he won the television competition Survival Star Audition, before embarking on a regular career in television.
He appeared in several dramas starting in the late 2000s, including Just Run!, My Precious You and Pasta. In 2010, he landed a major role in It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl, and then continues with I Need Romance, My Daughter, the Flower and Panda and Hedgehog.
Her popularity skyrocketed in 2013 thanks to her portrayal of Gu Wol-ryung in The Gu Family Book. That same year, he joined the cast of The Heirs as Kim Won, Kim Tan's half-brother. He won the Best New Artist award at the SBS Drama Awards for this series.
In 2014, he cemented his status as a leading actor with Emergency Couple, in which he plays Oh Chang-min, and then appears in Fated to Love You and Pride and Prejudice. After taking a break from his career, he returned in 2017 with the fantasy thriller Tunnel, in which he plays Detective Park Kwang-ho.
He continues by saying Devilish Joy and The Last Empress in 2018, and then Justice in 2019. In 2020, he played the lead roles in the series Rugal and Zombie Detective, while making a memorable appearance in Mr. Queen. He then returns with Numbers in 2023 and the fantasy romantic comedy Miss Night and Day in 2024, in which he plays District Attorney Gye Ji-ung.
On the big screen, he has appeared notably in Love Clinic, The Divine Move and Vampire in Love. In 2026, he landed his first romantic lead role in Positively Yours, in which he plays Kang Du-jun alongside Oh Yeon-seo.
