Oh Yeon-seo (Oh Yeon-seo), whose real name is Oh Haet-nim, is a South Korean actress and model born on June 22, 1987. She made her debut in the entertainment industry at a very young age: at just 15, she became a singer and dancer in the girl group LUV, which was active from 2002 to 2003. After the group disbanded, she turned to acting and studied theater and film at Dongguk University.
She began acting on television in 2003 in Sharp 1, before appearing in a number of TV series such as H.I.T., The Great King, Sejong and Dong Yi. Its popularity grew significantly in 2012 thanks to My Husband Got a Family, in which she plays Bang Mal-sook. She went on to land several leading roles, notably in Oh Ja Ryong Is Coming, Medical Top Team and above all Come! Jang Bo Ri in 2014.
She reaffirms her status as a leading actress with Shine or Go Crazy in 2015, Come Back Alive in 2016 and My Sassy Girl in 2017. That same year, she played Jin Seon-mi in the fantasy series A Korean Odyssey, one of her best-known roles internationally. She goes on to Love with Flaws in 2019, and then Mad for Each Other in 2021 and Minamdang: Case Note in 2022.
In film, she has notably played the lead roles in Whispering Corridors 5: A Blood Pledge, Just Friends, Run Off and Cheese in the Trap, a film adaptation in which she plays Hong Seol.
In 2024, she returns in a leading role with The Player 2: Master of Swindlers, in which she plays Jung Su-min. She then appears in Nice to Not Meet You in 2025. In 2026, she plays the lead role of Jang Hui-won in Positively Yours, thus continuing a career that began more than 20 years ago.
