Kim Hyun-jin (김현진) is a South Korean model and actor born on August 24, 1996. He began his modeling career in 2015 with YG KPlus, working primarily on fashion shows and advertising campaigns, before gradually transitioning into acting. After several years in the fashion industry, he truly began his acting career in 2020.
His first roles appeared in web dramas Sugar Coating and Can You Deliver Time?, where he began to make a name for himself. In 2021, he continued with Peach of Time then Peng, in which he plays Yeon Ha-rim. His career, however, took on a new dimension in 2022 thanks to Cheer Up. In the series, he plays Jin Sun-ho, a popular student and member of the university cheerleading squad, in one of the lead roles. This performance earned him the Best New Actor award at the SBS Drama Awards.
Following this recognition, Kim Hyun-jin began landing more prominent roles. In 2024, he played Baek Do-hong in the romantic comedy Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale, and then appears in My Sweet Mobster. These two productions helped him win the Rising Star Award in the acting category at the Asia Model Awards.
The year 2025 continues to gain momentum with several dramas. In Crushology 101, he plays Cho A-rang, one of the male leads surrounding the heroine. He also appears in Nice to Not Meet You and plays the lead role of Park Chung-jae in I Dol I, reinforcing his image as an actor capable of transitioning from romance to more dramatic roles.
In April 2025, he joined AER Entertainment following the reorganization of YG Entertainment’s actor management operations.
In 2026, Kim Hyun-jin continued his rise to fame with two new leading roles. He played Han Seon-ho in Love Phobia, a romance centered on the challenges of building a romantic relationship, and then Tak Mu-i in One-of-a-Kind Romance. These projects continue a trajectory that is now largely focused on leading roles in contemporary romantic dramas.
