Kim Won-hae (김원해) is a South Korean actor born on April 6, 1969, in Busan. A particularly prolific actor, he has established himself as one of the familiar faces of South Korean film and television, notably thanks to his numerous supporting roles and memorable appearances. He is also known for having been a cast member on the comedy show Saturday Night Live Korea between 2011 and 2013.
His television career includes a vast number of productions. After appearing in Vampire Prosecutor, Queen In-hyun’s Man and Nine, he took on a growing number of roles throughout the 2010s. He appeared notably in Signal, Hwarang and Good Manager. In 2017, he particularly distinguished himself in Strong Woman Do Bong-soon, in which he plays Kim Gwang-bok, as well as in While You Were Sleeping and Black.
He went on to star in dramas such as Are You Human?, Life, The Ghost Detective and Clean with Passion for Now. Between 2019 and 2024, he also appeared in both seasons of The Fiery Priest. His extensive filmography then includes Start-Up, Youth of May, Through the Darkness, The Law Cafe or even The Good Bad Mother.
In 2023, he played Seo Moon-choon in Revenant and makes an appearance in Death's Game. The following year, he appeared notably in Lovely Runner, Serendipity’s Embrace and The Virtues of Selling.
Kim Won-hae remained particularly active in 2025 and 2026. He appeared in The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Trigger and Cashero, before joining Can This Love Be Translated? in the role of novelist Kim Yeong-hwan and Undercover Miss Hong in Yoon Jae-beom's film. He also plays supporting roles in The Practical Guide to Love and Apartment, confirming its remarkable longevity on Korean television.
