Lee Jin-wook (이진욱; 李陣郁) is a South Korean actor born on September 16, 1981, in Cheongju. After beginning his studies in environmental engineering, he quickly abandoned that path to pursue a career in modeling, before making his acting debut in the mid-2000s.
He gradually began to attract attention through romantic dramas such as *Alone in Love*, *Air City*, and especially *I Need Romance 2012*, before establishing himself as one of the most elegant actors of his generation with *Nine: Nine Time Travels, where his portrayal of a time-traveling journalist was praised by critics. He went on to demonstrate his talent in *The Three Musketeers*, *The Time We Were Not in Love*, *Goodbye Mr. Black*, and *Voice*.
On the big screen, Lee Jin-wook has appeared in films such as *Miss Granny*, *The Target*, *The Beauty Inside*, *Time Renegades*, and the supernatural thriller *Dark Nuns*.
His career took on an international dimension thanks to Netflix. Starting in 2020, he played the enigmatic Pyeon Sang-wook in Sweet Home, a role he reprises in the second and third seasons. In 2024, he joins the global phenomenon Squid Game in the role of Player No. 246, Gyeong-seok, a character he continues to portray in the third season in 2025.
That same year, he returned to a more realistic style with The Path of Justice (Beyond the Bar), in which he plays Yoon Seok-hoon, a seasoned lawyer known for his intelligence, composure, and keen sense of justice, who is tasked with mentoring a young recruit at a prestigious law firm.
In 2027, Lee Jin-wook will be one of the lead actors in the drama Wed Thurs Fri, in which he will play Kim Dong-uk, continuing a career marked by complex, elegant, and deeply human characters.
