Biography

Lee Do-hyun (이도현), whose real name is Lim Dong-hyun, is a South Korean actor born on April 11, 1995, in Seoul. A graduate of the Film and Theater Department at Chung-Ang University, he made his television debut in 2017 in Prison Playbook, in which he plays the younger version of Lee Joon-ho.

He is gradually making a name for himself thanks to Still 17, Clean with Passion for Now and above all Hotel del Luna in 2019, in which he plays Go Cheong-myeong. That same year, his role in the TV movie Scouting Report earned him the Best Actor Award in a Special Drama at the KBS Drama Awards.

His career took on a new dimension in 2020 with 18 Again. In it, he plays a younger version of Hong Dae-young, a role that allows him to showcase both his comedic and dramatic talents and earned him the Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Actor in Television. He also joined the fantasy series Sweet Home as Lee Eun-hyeok.

In 2021, he took on one leading role after another, including Youth of May, in which he plays Hwang Hee-tae against the backdrop of the Gwangju Uprising, and then Melancholia. He also makes a brief appearance in Beyond Evil.

Between 2022 and 2023, Lee Do-hyun enjoyed renewed international success thanks to The Glory, in which he plays Joo Yeo-jeong alongside Song Hye-kyo. He goes on to star in The Good Bad Mother, in which he plays District Attorney Choi Kang-ho. He then appears in Death's Game and the second part, starring Jang Geon-woo.

Announcements

He made his film debut in Exhuma in 2024, in which he plays the shaman Yoon Bong-gil alongside Choi Min-sik and Kim Go-eun. The film became one of the biggest hits in Korean cinema that year.

After completing his military service from August 14, 2023, to May 13, 2025, Lee Do-hyun is fully resuming his career. He is set to appear in two new series in 2027: Grand Galaxy Hotel, in which he plays Eun-ha, and The Man Called H, playing the role of Hwang Cheon-gi.
