Born on February 27, 1977, in Seoul as Kwak Tae-geun, Ji Sung is one of South Korea’s most respected actors. After making his debut in the late 1990s, he rose to fame thanks to All In and then went on to achieve one success after another with Save the Last Dance for Me and the medical drama New Heart, which confirm his status as a leading actor.
Over the years, he has built a remarkable career, alternating between melodramas, romances, and thrillers. Series such as Protect the Boss, Secret Love and Familiar Wife demonstrate her ability to portray characters who are as touching as they are complex.
In 2015, he delivered the most memorable performance of his career in Kill Me, Heal Me. His portrayal of a man suffering from dissociative identity disorder, embodying seven distinct personalities, is hailed as one of the best in the history of K-dramas. This role earned him the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the MBC Drama Awards and remains a benchmark to this day.

In 2026, he continues with The Judge Returns, before moving on to Apartment, in which he plays Park Hae-gang, a man confronted with the dark secrets of an apartment building.
