Park Hee-soon, born on February 13, 1970, is a South Korean actor who graduated with a degree in theater from the Seoul Institute of the Arts. He began his career in 1990 with the Mokwha Theater Company, where he remained for more than a decade before shifting his focus more toward film.
After several supporting roles, he made a name for himself in 2004 in A Family, then confirm with Antarctic Journal. His real breakthrough came in 2007 thanks to the thriller Seven Days, in which he plays police officer Kim Seong-yeol. This performance earned him several awards for Best Supporting Actor and helped establish him as one of the leading character actors in Korean cinema.
He went on to make films such as The Scam, A Barefoot Dream, The Showdown, The Client and The Suspect. In 2017, he appeared in V.I.P. and above all 1987: When the Day Comes, a performance that won an award at the Baeksang Arts Awards. The following year, he played Mr. Choi in The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.
On television, he has appeared in, among other shows, All About My Romance, Missing Noir M and Beautiful World. His international fame grew significantly in 2021 with My Name, in which he plays Choi Moo-jin, the powerful leader of the Dongcheon organization. That same year, he played the role of private investigator Lee Kang-moo in Dr. Brain.
He then continues with A Model Family, Trolley, Moving and The Bequeathed. He also appears in Seasons 2 and 3 of Squid Game, before landing one of the leading roles in 2025 in The Confidence Man KR.
In 2026, he played Kang Shin-jin in The Judge's Return. Among its other announced projects are Pig Pen, Attributes, Country and Nation and The Miracles of the Namiya General Store.
