Born on November 10, 1996, in Seongnam, Kim Hye-yoon began her acting career at a very young age, appearing in a series of small roles over several years in dramas such as I Can Hear Your Voice, Goblin or The Legend of the Blue Sea. This long period of learning paid off in 2018 when she burst onto the scene in SKY Castle. Her intense portrayal of Kang Ye-seo, a brilliant high school student consumed by ambition, has catapulted her into the ranks of the breakout stars of her generation.
In 2019, she landed her first major leading role in Extraordinary You. Playing Eun Dan-oh, a heroine who discovers she is merely a supporting character in a webtoon, Kim Hye-yoon charms audiences with her comedic energy and sensitivity. She then explores darker themes with Snowdrop, and then proved his talent as a film actor in The Girl on a Bulldozer, a performance that earned him several awards.
International recognition came in 2024 with Lovely Runner. Opposite Byeon Woo-seok, she plays Im Sol, a young woman who travels back in time to save her idol. In 2026, she returns to No Tail to Tell, in which she plays Eun-ho, an eccentric gumiho who stubbornly refuses to become human until a soccer player turns her life upside down.
She also joins the prestigious cast of The Miracles of the Namiya General Store, a Disney+ adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s novel, filmed in 2026 and scheduled to air in 2027.
