After Jang Nara, now it's her new business partner's turn to reveal herself. SBS releases the first images of Kim Hye-yoon in " Good Partner 2 », in which she plays Kang Hye-sung, a passionate lawyer determined to make a name for herself in divorce law. The actress, who first came to international attention through « Lovely Runner », explains why she chose this role, a first in her career.
An ambitious lawyer
Kang Hye-sung has only one goal: to become a renowned divorce lawyer. More passionate about this field than anyone else, she finds herself, from her very first meeting with the legendary Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara), caught up in a a fierce battle of wits over a case.
The new photos show her in her early days at the Chunjeong law firm, where she handles local cases. With a confident smile and a sparkling gaze, she exudes the self-assurance of someone who believes she can accomplish anything.
The reality, however, turns out to be much more complicated. Civil and criminal cases are piling up, pushing divorce cases to the back burner. But Kang Hye-sung doesn’t lose heart: she doesn’t hesitate to take to the streets to gather evidence for her clients herself. Her determination and sense of responsibility speak volumes about her character.
«It's an honor» to join the series
Joining an established series is no easy feat. Kim Hye-yoon says she feels honored to be part of such a successful project. Since she’s joining the cast as a brand-new character, she admits to feeling both excited and eager to see how the audience reacts.
What convinced her? The desire to surprise. She had never played a professional of this kind before, and wanted to seize the opportunity to show a new side of herself.
A wounded heroine who learns to grow up
The actress describes Kang Hye-sung as a woman who has experienced pain and heartbreak, but who will grow thanks to meeting a «good partner.» Her desire to do well sometimes leads her to act at the wrong time and make mistakes. But she knows how to overcome them and learn from them.
In portraying the character, Kim Hye-yoon wanted to highlight her passionate and determined side, as well as the effort she puts into everything she does. And she’s convinced that her character’s true charm lies in her sparkling eyes.
