Her round glasses and bowl cut are still there, but something has changed. ENA unveils the first images of Lee Min-ki in " Crash 2 », in which he reprises the role of Cha Yeon-ho, the mastermind of the T.C.I. team. The actor opens up about this return and how his character has evolved since the first season.

The Brain of T.C.I. Is Back
In the first season, which aired in 2024, Cha Yeon-ho had established himself as the analytical backbone of the traffic crimes unit. Able to spot the slightest clue and understand the hidden causes of an accident, he was also a somewhat unconventional colleague, uncomfortable in social situations and unwilling to compromise.
Season 2 finds him in a very different situation. The T.C.I. team at the Namgang Police Station has become a regional unit under the National Investigation Bureau and now tracks down traffic offenders across the country.
The same look, a sharper appearance
The new images show Cha Yeon-ho looking just like himself, with his signature round glasses and neat bowl cut. It’s a slightly offbeat style that contrasts with his gaze, which becomes noticeably more piercing when he’s immersed in his investigations.

But the real question is something else: as he continues to work alongside his teammates, will he finally open up to others?
«More attuned to the emotions of others»
Lee Min-ki, best known for his role in «My Liberation Notes,» says he is happy to return to the screen with a project, a character, fellow actors, and a crew he is fond of.
According to him, Cha Yeon-ho maintains the same rigor and composure in his investigations. But he has become more attentive to the emotions of those around him. To convey this evolution, the actor explains that he worked on a subtle detail: the tone of his voice when speaking to his teammates, to convey the bond that has developed between them.

This change should boost team spirit, especially as the T.C.I. also welcomes a newcomer: the young police officer played by Jisung of NCT.
«Crash 2» will air starting Monday, November 16, 2026, at 10 p.m. (Korean time)—which is 2 p.m. in France—on ENA, on Mondays and Tuesdays. The drama will also be available on Viki.
