Two years have passed, and Cha Eun-kyung has risen through the ranks. SBS reveals the first images of Jang Nara stepping into the shoes of her heroine for Season 2 of « Good Partner ». The star divorce lawyer is no longer just a formidable litigator—she is now an accomplished businesswoman. The actress also opened up about this comeback and about the word that, in her opinion, sums up the new season.
A meteoric rise
In Season 1, Cha Eun-kyung shone at the prestigious Daejung law firm. She has since gone on to great things. New images show her at the helm of REBOM, the divorce-specialized law firm she founded, which already has fifty employees after just three years in business.
This success even earned her a spot among the «Women of the Year.» With a relaxed smile and a confident demeanor, she has all the makings of a leader who is sure of herself and her success.

Still as formidable as ever in court
That doesn't mean, however, that she's content to simply run her business from her office. The photos also show Cha Eun-kyung poring over her files, her gaze focused, and then arguing forcefully before the judges.
With twenty years of experience under her belt and still the same passion for her work, the new boss hasn’t lost any of her edge. A quality that’s sure to put her new partner, Kang Hye-sung—played by Kim Hye-yoon, including the My first encounter with her had been unsettling, to say the least.

Empathy: The Big New Thing
For Jang Nara, reprising the same role two years later remains a special experience. Having won the Grand Prize at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards for this role, the actress admits she approached Season 2 with some caution, given how many daring facets Cha Eun-kyung possesses.
The most significant change, in her view, can be summed up in one word: empathy. By founding REBOM, her character learned to listen more deeply to her clients’ stories—to the point that, for Jang Nara, the firm has become the very embodiment of Cha Eun-kyung.

The actress also explains that she wanted to free herself from the pressure and ambition that came with the first season. She chose to approach the role with a more relaxed mindset, so that viewers could watch the series with peace of mind.
This development aligns with the show's stated ambition: Season 2 will no longer limit itself to depicting divorces, but will also follow the clients' lives after their separations.
«Good Partner 2» will air starting Friday, November 20, 2026, at 9:50 p.m. (Korean time)—which is 1:50 p.m. in France—on SBS.
