Biography

Kim Jae-young (Kim Jae-young), born on September 30, 1988, is a South Korean actor and model. He began his modeling career in 2010 after training at Esteem Academy. He had previously considered becoming a chef but gradually shifted toward a career in acting after appearing on the show Flower Boy Casting: Oh! Boy in 2011.

He made his film debut in 2013 in No Breathing. He then landed several supporting roles on television, notably in Blade Man, Hello Monster and The Master of Revenge. In 2017, he began taking on more prominent roles with My Secret Romance and Black.

Its popularity grew in 2018 thanks to 100 Days, My Prince, in which he plays Moo-yeon. He then goes on to Secret Boutique and Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life in 2019. This role earned him the Best New Actor award at the KBS Drama Awards.

After Reflection of You In 2021, he played Kang Hae-jin in the romantic comedy Love in a Contract in 2022. In 2024, he enjoyed another success with The Judge from Hell, in which he plays police officer Han Da-on alongside Park Shin-hye. His performance earned him an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards.

In 2025, he made a cameo appearance in When Life Gives You Tangerines, and then plays the lead role of Lee Yeon-seok in My Lovely Journey. He also plays Do Ra-ik, a member of an idol group, in Idol Kid.

Announcements

In 2026, he is set to star in Nyuneo (Make Me Tremble). A second season of My Lovely Journey is also in the works, in which he is set to reprise the role of Lee Yeon-seok.

At the movies, after Derailed, Golden Slumber and Money, he is set to play Lee Gang-tae in The Roundup 5, scheduled for 2027.
