Nam Ji-hyun (남지현) is a South Korean actress born on September 17, 1995, in Incheon. She began her career at a very young age and first made a name for herself as a child actress before successfully transitioning to adult roles.
She began appearing on television in 2004 in Say You Love Me. Throughout her childhood and adolescence, she regularly played the younger versions of main characters in major productions. In particular, she played the young Princess Deokman in Queen Seondeok in 2009, and then as a young Hwang Jung-yeon in Giant in 2010 and a young Yoo Ji-sun in Warrior Baek Dong-soo in 2011. She also appears in East of Eden, Will It Snow for Christmas? and Angel Eyes.
On the big screen, Nam Ji-hyun has appeared in, among others, Shadowless Sword, A Reason to Live, Hwayi: A Monster Boy and The Map Against the World. She also appears in the disaster movie Tunnel in 2016.
As she grew into adulthood, she began landing more prominent roles. After What Happens to My Family?, in 2016, she played the lead role of Ko Bok-shil in the romantic comedy Shopping King Louie. The following year, she co-starred with Suspicious Partner alongside Ji Chang-wook, and she plays Eun Bong-hee, a role that has greatly contributed to her popularity.
In 2018, she played Yeon Hong-sim, also known as Yoon Yi-seo, in the historical romance drama 100 Days, My Prince. She follows that up with a fantasy thriller 365: Repeat the Year in 2020, then The Witch's Diner in 2021.
She then reaffirms her interest in darker themes with Little Women in 2022, in which she plays the journalist Oh In-kyung, and then High Cookie in 2023. In 2024, she played the role of attorney Han Yu-ri in Good Partner.
In 2026, Nam Ji-hyun returns to the spotlight with two leading roles: Yeon Su in Make Me Tremble and Hong Eun-jo, also known as Hong Gil-dong, in To My Beloved Thief. Her career has thus been marked by great consistency, from her early days as a child actress to leading roles in romantic films, thrillers, and historical dramas.
