Kim Jae-chul (김재철) is a South Korean actor born on June 25, 1982 in South Korea. Active in both film and television, he gradually made a name for himself through numerous supporting roles, regularly portraying characters associated with the professional, political, military, or criminal worlds.
He began appearing in films in the early 2000s, playing small roles in Just Do It! and Who Are You?. He continued his career with Small Town Rivals in 2007 and Wish in 2009. During the 2010s, he appeared in several major productions, including Marriage Blue, Big Match, It's so good, Master's Degree, Confidential Assignment and Fabricated City. He also appears in the disaster movie Ashfall in 2019.
On television, Kim Jae-chul began to appear more frequently starting in 2020. He has notably starred in Kevin Jung in Hyena, Lee Jin-soo in My Dangerous Wife and Park Myung-hwan in Hush. In 2021, he starred in Yoon Hyeong-seol in the historical drama The King's Affection. He continues with Kill Heel and The Golden Spoon in 2022, then Stealer: The Treasure Keeper in 2023.
The year 2024 marks a particularly busy period in the film industry. Kim Jae-chul appears in Exhuma, in which he plays Park Ji-yong, as well as in Land of Happiness, playing the role of Manager Jin. On television, he also plays Hong Tae-oh, the school nurse, in Love Your Enemy.
In 2025, he took on a number of projects. He plays Lee Du-yeong, Je-ha's father, in Our Movie, Lee Dae-ho, Jae-hyeong's half-brother, in Nice to Not Meet You, as well as Yang Cheol-hwan in The Manipulated.
In 2026, he made a guest appearance in Perfect Crown playing the role of Director Jung, a member of the Royal Protection Bureau. Most notably, he lands a leading role in Affairs Aren't the Only Secret, in which he plays Bo-seong.
Thanks to a particularly diverse filmography and regular appearances in popular productions, Kim Jae-chul has built a solid career as a character actor, alternating between feature films, thrillers, historical dramas, romances, and contemporary series.
