Gong Seung-yeon (Gong Seung-yeon), born on February 27, 1993, is a South Korean actress who has been active since 2012. After initially appearing in supporting roles, she has gradually established herself as a familiar face in K-dramas, appearing in a variety of genres, including romances, thrillers, and fantasy series.
After I Love Lee Tae Ri and My Lovely Girl, Gong Seung-yeon gained more attention in 2015 with Heard It Through the Grapevine, and then with the sageuk Six Flying Dragons, in which she plays Min Da-kyung. She then landed a leading role in The Master of Revenge ahead of a particularly busy 2017: she plays Eun Yi-soo in Introverted Boss, Han Jung-yeon in the science-fiction thriller Circle and actress Song Soo-jung in the fantasy romance My Only Love Song.
In 2018, Gong Seung-yeon is gaining even more visibility with Are You Human Too?. Opposite Seo Kang-joon, she plays Kang So-bong, a bodyguard who finds herself face to face with an android that looks exactly like the man she is replacing. She goes on to star in a historical romance Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency in 2019, then returned to fantasy in 2021 in Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, in which she plays the roles of Dan Sol and Min Si-ho.
In 2022 and 2023, Gong Seung-yeon plays paramedic Song Seol throughout the two seasons of The First Responders, a drama combining police, fire, and medical emergency response. After the movie Handsome Guys In 2024, she made a strong comeback to K-dramas in 2025 with the thriller Karma, and then plays the lead role in My Lovely Journey as Kang Yeo-reum.
In 2026, Gong Seung-yeon continues this momentum with Perfect Crown, before My Lovely Journey Season 2. It is also scheduled for 2027 in Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid.
