Born on June 9, 1993, Heo Nam-jun (허남준) is part of a new generation of Korean actors who quietly worked their way up the ranks before bursting onto the scene and capturing the public’s attention. A theater graduate from Sungkyunkwan University, he made his film debut in 2019 before going on to play a series of supporting roles in Missing: The Other Side, Snowdrop, Sweet Home and The Matchmakers.
His rise gained momentum in 2024 thanks to two contrasting but memorable characters. He first made an impression in Your Honor, in which he plays a gangster as cold as he is unpredictable, and then wins over audiences as the compassionate psychiatrist Ji Sang-woo in When the Phone Rings. This role earned him the Best New Actor award at the MBC Drama Awards and showcased his romantic potential.
In 2025, he cemented his status as a rising star with When the Stars Gossip and above all A Hundred Memories, a coming-of-age melodrama in which he plays Han Jae-pil, a charismatic heir nicknamed the «prince on his white horse.» His performance, both tender and melancholic, has captivated fans of Korean romances.
The year 2026 marks a real turning point. He lands his first major leading role in My Royal Nemesis, in which he plays Cha Se-gye, a powerful CEO whose life is turned upside down when he meets an actress possessed by the spirit of a formidable Joseon princess. A massive hit on Netflix, the drama catapulted Heo Nam-jun into the ranks of Hallyu’s must-watch new faces. He also made a notable appearance in Perfect Crown.
Already confirmed for the historical drama Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid (2027), Heo Nam-jun has established himself as one of the most promising Korean actors, capable of moving effortlessly from thrillers to the most heart-wrenching romances.
