Han Ji-hyun (한지현) is a South Korean actress and model born on March 21, 1996, in Seoul. Passionate about acting since high school, she studied acting at the prestigious Korea National University of Arts after being accepted into several leading universities specializing in theater. Before devoting herself fully to acting, she worked as a model starting in middle school.
She began her career in 2017 in the web series Soul Driver, and then moves on to online productions Today's Taromance (2018) and What a Wonderful World (2019). That same year, she made her television debut in The Wind Blows, where she plays a supporting role.
Her career took a decisive turn in 2020 when she played Joo Seok-kyung in all three seasons of The Penthouse. Her complex character and compelling performance have brought her significant fame in South Korea. This performance earned her the Best New Actress award at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards.
After making his film debut in Seobok (2021), she landed her first major leading role in the series Cheer Up (2022), in which she plays Do Hae-yi, an energetic college student who joins the cheerleading squad. The series solidified her status as a rising young actress.
In 2024, Han Ji-hyun continued her rise to fame with the lead role of Nam Ja-yeon, a novelist known by the pen name Yeon Bo-ra, in No Gain No Love. She then reprises that role in the spin-off Spice Up Our Love. That same year, she also played the female lead in Face Me, a performance that earned her the Best Actress Award at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards.
On the big screen, she appears in Revelations and The Ugly in 2025. That same year, she joined Chorokbaem Entertainment after her contract with SBD Entertainment ended. In 2026, she continued her career with a role in In Your Radiant Season as well as an appearance in My Royal Nemesis. She is also listed in the credits of the following films Sisterhood and Made in Itaewon.
Thanks to her constant evolution and increasingly diverse roles, Han Ji-hyun has established herself as one of the most promising actresses of her generation, both in romantic comedies and contemporary dramas.
