Biography

Born on March 13, 1984, in Seoul, Lee Joon-hyuk is a South Korean actor known for his understated charisma, his intensity on screen, and his ability to portray both tormented heroes and ambiguous characters. Since his debut, he has established himself as one of the most reliable actors of his generation.

He began his career in 2006 in a music video for the band Typhoon before making his acting debut in 2007 in the drama The First Wives’ Club. It is gradually gaining popularity thanks to Three Brothers (2009), I Am Legend (2010) and, above all, City Hunter (2011), in which her portrayal of prosecutor Kim Young-joo left a lasting impression on viewers.

After completing his military service between 2012 and 2014, Lee Joon-hyuk returned to take on new challenges and experienced a major turning point in 2017 thanks to Stranger. His portrayal of Prosecutor Seo Dong-jae—a complex character torn between ambition and morality—became one of the most iconic roles of his career. He would reprise this role in Stranger 2 and then in its own spin-off Dongjae: The Good Guy or the Bastard? (2024).

A versatile actor, he moves seamlessly between genres with this political thriller Designated Survivor: 60 Days (2019), Time Travel 365: Repeat the Year (2020), followed by the dark Vigilante (2023). On the big screen, he also impresses in the saga Along With the Gods and makes a surprise appearance as the main villain in the blockbuster The Roundup: No Way Out (2023).

In 2025, Lee Joon-hyuk reveals a more romantic side in Love Scout, where his on-screen chemistry with Han Ji-min has won over K-drama fans. In 2026/2027, he continues his rise to stardom with highly anticipated new projects such as Excitatio. and Casual Lie, confirming his status as one of the Korean actors capable of excelling in every genre.
