One-of-a-Kind Romance

Featuring a young woman who has given up writing and a famous actor haunted by a stalker, «One of a Kind Romance» promises a tender love story in which the wounds of the past play a central role.

Joy plays Gong Yu-il, an ordinary young woman who is trying to find a stable job while taking on a series of odd jobs to make ends meet. Although her resume doesn’t list any particularly impressive qualifications, she does have a real talent for writing. In fact, her cover letters help her stand out during the hiring process.

But Gong Yu-il is hiding a secret that no one knows: she is the author of a novel titled «Star and Half-Moon.» Although she once seemed passionate about writing, she mysteriously decided to give it up. Since then, she has hidden her identity as an author and has been trying to lead as ordinary a life as possible.

Her life is turned upside down when she happens to run into Tak Mu-i, a huge celebrity who discovers the novel she wrote several years ago.

Kim Hyun-jin plays a star traumatized by a stalker

Opposite Joy, Kim Hyun-jin plays Tak Mu-i, an actor at the height of his popularity who has been in the entertainment industry since his debut as a child actor nineteen years earlier. Thanks to his good looks, acting talent, and hard work, he has built a highly successful career. Yet behind his image as an accomplished star, he hides deep emotional wounds.

A victim of repeated threats from a stalker, Tak Mu-i suffers from anxiety and insomnia. Despite his success, he is going through a difficult time and is struggling to regain a sense of security. During these painful times, he finds comfort in a book he rereads regularly: «Star and Half-Moon,» an unfinished novel that has helped him overcome certain hardships.

The story takes an unexpected turn when he meets Gong Yu-il and discovers that she has the unpublished sequel to this novel.

While their relationship remains at the heart of the story, two other characters will complicate matters. Shin Hyun-soo plays Kang Hee-soo, a star chef, while Kang Na-eon plays Joo Da-hong, an actress. Their arrival turns the romance into a full-blown love quadrangle.
