A celebrity, a former writer, a chef, and an actress: the cast of « One of a Kind Romance »is revealed in its entirety. The new poster features Joy by Red Velvet, Kim Hyun-jin, Shin Hyun-soo and Kang Na-eon, and promises a story that’s much more eventful than a simple romance between two people. With less than two weeks to go before the premiere, let’s take a look at the love quadrangle.
The story of a novel that connects them
As a reminder, the series—adapted from a webtoon—follows Gong Yu-il (Joy), an ordinary young woman who is looking for a job. She has a secret: she is the author of «Star and Half-Moon,» an unfinished novel she abandoned long ago.
Through a series of circumstances, she becomes the manager of Tak Mu-i (Kim Hyun-jin), a huge star who still bears the scars of harassment by a stalker. This novel, It was precisely that person who helped him hang in there during the tough times.
Two New Characters That Change the Game
While their relationship remains at the heart of the story, two other characters will complicate matters. Shin Hyun-soo plays Kang Hee-soo, a star chef, while Kang Na-eon plays Joo Da-hong, an actress.
Their arrival turns the romance into a full-fledged love quadrangle. According to the production team, the moments when these two characters cross paths with Yu-il and Mu-i promise to set viewers’ hearts racing, especially since each will express their feelings with sincerity.
On the poster, the four heroes pose side by side in a photo studio, surrounded by spotlights and cameras. Tak Mu-i exudes the confidence of a star celebrating 19 years in the business, with a steady gaze and an imposing presence. Kang Hee-soo and Joo Da-hong each strike a pose that reflects their personalities.
And then there’s Gong Yu-il, the only one of the four who isn’t a public figure. She flashes a slightly embarrassed smile and holds a book as a prop—a nod to her past as a writer. It’s a detail that perfectly sums up her unconventional place in this world of celebrities.
Consisting of 12 episodes, the series features a compact format, ideal for a sweet and touching romance that doesn’t drag on. «One of a Kind Romance» will air starting Monday, November 9, 2026, at 6 p.m. (Korean time), which is 10 a.m. in France.
