With just over a month to go before its premiere, « My Bias, My Boss »unveiled the first images of Kang Hoon in her new role. And if you love stories about fans, idols, and office romances, this is for you!
tvN's upcoming romantic drama, adapted from a webtoon, will tell the story of a workplace romance between a renowned CEO and one of his employees.
The series will follow Nam Da-reum, played by Kim Hye-joon, a young woman who joins a company in order to get closer to her longtime idol. Her arrival will gradually turn her boss, Kang Ha-gi’s, daily life upside down.
A leader admired in the business world
Kang Hoon plays Kang Ha-gi, the CEO of the fashion platform Apello. Having built his career through his own efforts, he is known for his business acumen, his polished appearance, and his professionalism.
At his company, he rewards high-performing employees and readily places his trust in those who deliver results. His obsession with detail has even earned him the nickname «Kangtail,» a combination of his name and the English word «detail.».
Along with his longtime friend Lee Chan, played by Cha Woo-min, he transformed a small fashion boutique into a platform specializing in emerging designer brands. His academic background and Apello’s rapid success have made him a respected figure in the industry.
The new photos released by tvN highlight the character's professional side, featuring elegant outfits and a presence that naturally inspires confidence.
A man who can't handle his feelings
Despite his many qualities, Kang Ha-gi faces far more difficulties in his personal life.
The executive has a hard time trusting others and is particularly awkward when he has romantic feelings. The situation becomes even more complicated when he begins to develop feelings for a new employee at his company.
This unexpected romance could upset the balance between his professional and personal lives—an area in which the CEO seems much less comfortable.
Viewers will thus discover another side of the character, far removed from the image of the perfect leader he projects on a daily basis.
