A sharp, square cut, impeccable tailoring, and a gaze that misses nothing: Park Min-young has already stepped into the role of Kang Yi-ji. SBS reveals the first photos of the actress in « Nine to Six », one month before the release of this office romantic comedy, scheduled for November 25.
«100 % logic»
At the the day after the script reading, we learn a little more about the heroine. Kang Yi-ji is an assistant manager in the legal department at Chronic Motors, an automaker.
The production describes her as «100% logical.» Brilliant, methodical, and entirely devoted to her work, she leaves no room for error… even if it means leaving none for her love life either. The photos perfectly capture this personality. On the phone in her office, with a sharp gaze and a determined expression, she embodies the professional who stays in control no matter what.
First Showdown at the Office
Another scene foreshadows the first tensions. In it, Kang Yi-ji confronts Jung Ki-tae, played by Jo Bok-rae, a political insider who stands in her way. She responds with an icy stare.
Jo Bok-rae is one of the series« trio of »villains”—those unbearable superiors who will make the heroine’s daily life a nightmare. This first face-off sets the tone for a war of nerves that promises to be a long one.
The Return of the Queen of Office Comedies
The production team can’t say enough good things about its lead actress. They praise the way Park Min-young has managed to make a character torn between work and love so endearing, and they refer to her as «the queen of office romantic comedies.».
A title she owes in large part to « What's Wrong with Secretary Kim », and she intends to stand her ground against Yook Sungjae, who will play Han Seon-woo, the younger, caring colleague who will shake up her convictions.
«Nine to Six» will air starting Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. (Korean time)—which is 1:00 p.m. in France—on SBS and will be available on Prime Video.
