A workaholic who has always put her career before love, a younger colleague with disarming charm: in « Nine to Six », Park Min-young is returning to the office romance genre, the one that made her famous. SBS has set the premiere date for November 25 and released photos from the script reading.

An adaptation of a Chinese hit
«Nine to Six» is the Korean adaptation of «The Rational Life,» a hit Chinese series released in 2021. The story takes place at Chronic Motors, an automaker, and follows Kang Yi-ji, played by Park Min-young.
Level-headed, composed, and impeccable at her job: Kang Yi-ji has only one weakness—love. Having focused on her career for years, she has always put her love life on the back burner, and she’s surprisingly clumsy when it comes to romance.

Everything changes when she meets Han Seon-woo, a younger, caring, and warm-hearted coworker played by Yook Sungjae. Through her relationship with him, she will learn to love, and the two will grow together, both at work and in life.

A genre that Park Min-young knows like the back of her hand, having triumphed in « What's Wrong with Secretary Kim » and then in «Marry My Husband.».
Go Soo Returns to Romance
The cast has another pleasant surprise in store. Go Soo, who hadn't appeared in a romantic series for fifteen years, plays Park Hyun-tae, an elite CEO who judges his employees solely on their results. The actor, who was announced yesterday in «The Wife» Starring Kim Hee-sun, brings his own unique, laid-back charisma to it.

Joo Hyun-young, who rose to fame in «Extraordinary Attorney Woo,» plays Shin Ji-won, Kang Yi-ji’s best friend, who has been a stay-at-home mom for seven years. She offers a more down-to-earth perspective on the concerns of women her age.

A Mother and Some Unbearable Bosses
The series also relies on its supporting cast. Kim Mi-kyung, who is no stranger to playing mothers on screen, portrays Lee Kyung-shim, the heroine’s mother. The chemistry between her and Park Min-young—which felt very authentic during the table read—promises some delightful scenes.

In the office, a trio of «villains» will spice up Kang Yi-ji’s daily life: Jung Hae-kyun, Jo Bok-rae, and Cha Chung-hwa play bosses who are as exasperating as they are believable. This will resonate with anyone who’s ever had a bad boss.

The cast also includes Nam Yoon-ho (Lee Yong-woon), Choi Ji-soo (Im Eun-ha), Chun Woo-jin (Jung Tae-jun), and Bae Yoo-ram (Kim Dong-seok).

«Nine to Six» will air starting Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. (Korean time)—which is 1:00 p.m. in France—on SBS, and will then be available worldwide on Prime Video.
