The Story

The drama is an adaptation of the very popular Chinese drama. The Rational Life (2021).

Nine to Six tells the story of a woman who has deliberately put her love life on hold to devote herself entirely to her career. Her very pragmatic view of love is shaken when she meets a man with a warm and sincere personality, triggering personal and emotional growth in both of them.

Park Min-young plays the role of Kang Yi-ji, head of the legal team at a major automotive group. A hard worker, she has long considered marriage and romance to be emotional constructs that are incompatible with the realities of work. When faced with injustice, she prefers silent endurance to direct confrontation.

Yook Sung-jae plays the role of Han Seon-woo, a jewelry designer with an unusual background, having studied law. Calm, intuitive, and surprisingly mature, he acts primarily with his heart, especially when it comes to Kang Yi-ji.

Go Soo, who hadn't appeared in a romantic series for fifteen years, plays Park Hyun-tae, an elite CEO who judges his employees solely on their results.

Joo Hyun-young plays Shin Ji-won, Kang Yi-ji's best friend, who has been a stay-at-home mom for seven years.
