7 cities, 7 kidnappings, and only 10 days to prevent the worst from happening. The new teasers for « kiDnap GAME »finally spell out the particularly cruel rules of the game in which" Lee Joon-gi, Sakaguchi Kentaro and five other participants are about to undergo training. They all want to rescue a loved one who has been kidnapped, but they quickly discover a problem: to do so, they must first ensure their own survival—even though only one person can make it to the end.
The thriller will begin with a series of kidnappings that occur simultaneously in 7 Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila.
The evening news begins to report on these strangely similar cases before the victims' families receive mysterious messages. They are then asked a question: How far are they willing to go to save someone they love?
Behind these kidnappings lies, in reality, a massive game of survival in which seven people will find themselves participating against their will.
7 cities, 10 days… and only one person at the finish line
Each of the 7 participants is given a different task and has Only 10 days to complete it. Their goal seems obvious at first: to find the person who was taken from them. But the rules quickly turn this rescue mission into a confrontation.
To protect their loved ones, participants must complete their missions before the others do. Above all, Only one of them will be able to survive until the end of the game.
So they won't be able to simply work together to find the victims. Each will have to figure out the others' intentions, make decisions that could put lives at risk, and try to stay one step ahead of their opponents.
The teasers thus promise less of a simple race against the clock and more of a psychological warfare, in which saving one person might require condemning another participant. And two of the players will have particularly personal reasons for refusing to lose.
Lee Joon-gi and Sakaguchi Kentaro fight to save their families
Lee Joon-gi embodies Han Ki-joo, a retired doctor whose visually impaired daughter has been kidnapped. To find her, he agrees to play along with this game, even though he doesn’t understand its true rules or the intentions of those who organized it.
In Tokyo, Kentaro Sakaguchi the detective says Toshiro Nīide. This time, it is his wife who has been kidnapped, forcing him to participate as well. They join five other people who have come from the various cities affected by the kidnappings. They all find themselves in the same situation: the person they love is being used as leverage, but their interests may soon become irreconcilable.
The new teasers highlight this very dilemma. To save their loved ones, Lee Joon-gi and Sakaguchi Kentaro will not only have to figure out who is behind the game, but also outperform the other participants without knowing how far they'll be willing to go.
