«KiDnap GAME» will revolve around an exceptionally large-scale kidnapping case that erupts simultaneously in 7 Asian cities: Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila. Seven people find themselves caught up in a survival game, and each is given a different mission. To stay alive and save their loved ones, they must complete their objective before the others do.

A competition whose rules seem to be summed up by the question printed on the new posters: «How far are you willing to go to save the person you love? Only one can be saved.»

Why did Lee Joon-gi give up surgery?

Among these participants will be Han Ki-joo (Lee Joon-gi), whose new images offer a glimpse into daily life before everything changed.

Ki-joo was once a highly renowned surgeon. Described as a brilliant doctor, he had made a name for himself thanks to his exceptional abilities before leaving the medical field for a reason that remains, for the time being, unknown.

Now that he is practically retired, he leads a quiet, low-key life. While he remains in touch with the medical world, he mainly limits himself to advising his younger former colleagues rather than practicing medicine himself.

The new images thus show a calm and reserved man, a far cry from the extreme situation into which he will soon be thrust. For this calm vanishes abruptly when his young daughter is kidnapped.

In the hope of finding her, Ki-joo has no choice but to enter the mysterious «Kidnap Game.» Ki-joo’s real dilemma won’t just be completing the missions set by the organizers. Throughout the game, his medical beliefs will clash with his instinct as a father who is willing to do anything to save his child.

How far will he be able to go without betraying the principles to which he has devoted part of his life? And what will he be capable of doing if the only way to find his daughter involves crossing a line he had previously refused to cross?

Opposite him, Kentaro Sakaguchi plays Toshiro Niide, a Japanese detective determined to uncover the truth behind this massive case. With a deep sense of justice and the ability to keep his cool, Toshiro also throws himself into the thick of things for a deeply personal reason: save his wife.

But like Han Ki-joo, events will eventually cause him to question his convictions.
