Having only just returned to the spotlight in mid-July, Kim Soo-hyun already seems to be generating immense interest in the Korean entertainment industry. According to several local media outlets, the actor has reportedly received more than 40 proposals dramas and movies, which he is currently reviewing with his agency.

This news comes just one day after his official return.

Visit July 14, Kim Soo-hyun is reappeared for the first time in more than 16 months during the filming of a new advertising campaign for the Philippine brand Bench. The first photos of this relaunch were posted by Ben Chan, the brand's CEO, before his agency, Gold Medalist, officially confirmed the resumption of its operations.

According to an industry insider quoted by the Korean press, Kim Soo-hyun has reportedly already received more than 40 scenarios, for both TV shows and movies.

No project has been selected yet, but this figure illustrates the actor’s continued strong appeal to producers, despite having been away from the set for over a year.

Attention also remains focused on Knock-Off, the Disney+ series whose broadcast had been suspended. To date, no official decision regarding its release has been announced.

An update reflecting the progress of the legal proceedings

After suspending all his public activities in March 2025, Kim Soo-hyun has gradually reemerged as the investigation, which has been ongoing for over a year, has profoundly changed the way the case is viewed.

Investigations by the police and the district attorney’s office concluded, among other things, that several pieces of evidence presented against the actor—including audio files and conversations presented as evidence—had been falsified or tampered with.

In this context, Kim Se-ui, head of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, was charged and then taken into custody before being brought to trial. His trial will now determine his criminal liability.
