Ten years have passed, but their bond seems to have remained intact. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of « Love in the Moonlight ", Park Bo-gum, Kim You-jung, Jin-young, Chae Soo-bin, and Kwak Dong-yeon will appear together on a KBS2 special.
Provisionally titled Love Again in the Moonlight, this variety show will bring together the five actors for a 2-day, 1-night trip, with the premiere scheduled for September 16, 2026.
A first teaser, released on August 26, now offers a glimpse of this reunion, in an atmosphere that emphasizes friendship and nostalgia far more than a typical promotional event.
Ten years later, the «Moonlighters» are back together
Aired in 2016, Love in the Moonlight had brought together Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung in a historical romance that became one of the standout dramas of that year. Jin-young, Chae Soo-bin, and Kwak Dong-yeon rounded out the main cast.
A decade later, the five actors agreed to reunite, this time away from the film sets. Off to Hongcheon, in Gangwon Province, where they will spend two days and one night reminiscing and creating new memories together.
The first teaser has the feel of a film about youth and friendship. Some of the footage was shot directly by the actors using small cameras and film cameras, giving this reunion a much more spontaneous feel.
Kim Yoo-jung opens the video by humming before showing off their breakfast, while Park Bo-gum plays around in front of the camera. Jin-young, meanwhile, improvises a few dance moves without music, and Chae Soo-bin makes a series of «V» signs in front of the camera.
These are very simple scenes that show, above all, just how quickly the five actors seem to fall back into their old routines.
Two episodes to celebrate the 10th anniversary of «Love in the Moonlight»
Kwak Dong-yeon sums up the spirit of this reunion with a sentence full of nostalgia: «The night of the “Moonlighters” isn't over yet.»
This statement takes on special significance, as the actor began his military service on August 25, just a few weeks before the show aired.
Love Again in the Moonlight This should allow fans to get to know the actors outside of their characters and reflect on the bonds they've maintained since filming the drama.
And KBS2 won't just be airing a few minutes of the reunion: Two full episodes are planned. The first one will air on September 16 at 8:30 p.m. KST, while the second will arrive on September 23 at 9:00 p.m. KST. We hope an international platform will stream them; otherwise, they should be available on YouTube (or clips on social media).
Ten years after appearing together on screen in Love in the Moonlight, Park Bo-gum, Kim You-jung, Jin-young, Chae Soo-bin, and Kwak Dong-yeon will simply be five friends going on a trip together. And judging by the first images, the chemistry among the «Moonlighters» hasn’t really aged a bit.
