Episode 9 of «Four Hands, Two Sonatas» airs this Saturday, September 26… Spoiler alert! The truth could have separated them for good. After waiting nine years for Choi Jeong-yo to return, Kang Pio has just discovered that his own mother was behind her abduction. However, in the next episode of « Four Hands, Two Sonatas », the character of Song Kang will make an unexpected choice: to reunite with Lee Jun-young for a new musical collaboration.
This decision was all the more difficult because the kidnapping had turned Jeong-yo’s entire life upside down. After being shot by his kidnapper, the young man lost the chance to pursue a career as a pianist and eventually turned to conducting.
Kang Pio Refuses to Turn His Back on Choi Jeong-yo
Ever since their days at art high school, Kang Pio and Choi Jeong-yo have shared a relationship built on friendship, rivalry, and music. But Jeong-yo’s sudden disappearance had abruptly cut short their story.
For nine years, Kang Pio never stopped looking for him. Their reunion, however, was much more painful than he had imagined: Jeong-yo was no longer the pianist he had once known.
After asking Vogel (Go Chang-suk) to investigate the circumstances of his abduction, Pio then discovered a truth that was even harder to accept. His own mother had orchestrated the kidnapping. Despite this revelation, Pio will not choose to distance himself from Jeong-yo in the next episode. On the contrary, he agrees to collaborate with him once again and seems determined to give his all to this joint performance.

This time, the atmosphere is a far cry from their early collaborations. Speaking to reporters, Kang Pio and Choi Jeong-yo both wear particularly serious and determined expressions. Their appearance together leaves one question hanging in the air: Why did Pio decide to work with Jeong-yo again after discovering the role his mother played in his kidnapping?
This collaboration could become a turning point in their relationship, as Pio must now come to terms with the guilt stemming from his family's actions and Jeong-yo continues to bear the physical consequences of what happened to her.
After nine years apart, the two musicians are thus reunited through music, but under circumstances that are radically different from those of their youth.
