Disney+ continues to promote « A Shop for Killers 2 » with the release of a new poster and an intense teaser. This new season will feature Kim Hye-joon and Lee Dong-wook in the midst of an even more dangerous war against the Babylon organization.
After surviving the events of the first season, Jeong Ji-an is now ready to take the reins.
Ji-an Becomes the New CEO of Murthehelp
Based on the novel by Kang Ji-young, who also wrote «The Killer’s Shopping List,» «A Shop for Killers» follows the story of Jeong Ji-an, a young woman who discovers the existence of an underground network run by her uncle, Jeong Jin-man, after the death of her parents.
At the end of the first season, Ji-an was mainly focused on surviving as she faced the many assassins sent after her. This time, the situation is very different. The new poster shows Ji-an alongside Jin-man under the tagline: «The transmission is complete.»
Her determined gaze stands in contrast to that of the young woman viewers first met in the first season. Now at the helm of Murthehelp, she seems ready to fully embrace the legacy left by her uncle.
Both characters appear to bear the scars of past battles, but they are also ready to strike their enemies at any moment.
An All-Out War Against Babylon
The teaser highlights the new challenges that await Ji-an as the organization's leader.
As Babylon tries to track down Jin-man by using his niece as bait, tensions rise rapidly. Bale, played by Jo Han-sun, makes no secret of his intention to kill Jin-man, foreshadowing a particularly violent confrontation.
In the trailer, Jin-man warns Ji-an: «You have to protect the arm you still have.» But the young woman replies with chilling determination: «I’m not afraid of dying anymore.»
These few words perfectly illustrate the character’s evolution; she is now ready to risk her life to protect Murthehelp and face her enemies. This new season will also mark the return of several familiar faces, including Jo Han-sun, Geum Hae-na, Kim Min, and Lee Tae-young.
New characters will also be making their debut in Babylon’s East Asian branch. Jung Yun-ha, Hyunri, and Japanese actor Masaki Okada are joining the cast and are expected to further complicate Ji-an and Jin-man’s mission.
«A Shop for Killers 2» is set to premiere in July on Disney+.
