Kim Hyang-gi (김향기) is a South Korean actress born on August 9, 2000. She began her career as a child and made her film debut in 2006 in the movie Hearty Paws, in which she plays So-yi. She went on to take on several roles in films and TV series, quickly establishing herself as one of the most recognized young actresses of her generation.
She has particularly stood out in Wedding Dress in 2010, and then in A Werewolf Boy and The Grand Heist in 2012. In 2013, she played Shim Ha-na in the series The Queen's Classroom. This role earned her several awards for Best Young Actress, including at the MBC Drama Awards and the APAN Star Awards.
In 2014, his performance in the film Thread of Lies, in which she plays Cheon-ji, earned her the Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Actress. She then went on to demonstrate her talent in Snowy Road, a historical drama in which she plays Choi Jong-boon.
His career took on a new dimension with fantasy films Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds in 2017 and Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days in 2018. In it, she plays Duk-choon, a young guardian of the afterlife. This role earned her the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Supporting Actress as well as a Popularity Award.
She went on to play leading roles in Youngju in 2018, Innocent Witness in 2019 and I in 2022. She also appears in Space Sweepers, where she voices the robot Bubs, and then in the historical film Hansan: Rising Dragon.
On television, Kim Hyang-gi stars in At Eighteen in 2019, and then played Seo Eun-woo in both seasons of Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist. In 2023, she played the lead role of Song Han-joo in Play, Plii.
In 2025, she appears in Cashero and in the TV movie Love Track: Minji Minji Minji. In 2026, she played the lead role of Yeo Ui-ju in Absolute Value of Romance.
