Krystal Jung (Jeong Su-jeong), whose Korean name is Jung Soo-jung, was born on October 24, 1994, in San Francisco. She is an American-South Korean singer, dancer, and actress. She made her debut in the music industry in 2009 as a member of the group f(x), where she served as both the lead vocalist and the youngest member. Alongside her career as an idol, she quickly established herself as an actress.
She first appeared in several sitcoms before gaining prominence with High Kick: Revenge of the Short-Legged. In 2013, her role as Lee Bo-na in The Heirs contributes greatly to her popularity. She then landed her first major leading role in My Lovely Girl in 2014, in which she plays Yoon Se-na, a young woman who dreams of a career in music.
Krystal is gradually diversifying her cast with Moo-ra in The Bride of Habaek, followed by Kim Ji-ho in Prison Playbook. In 2018, she joined the action drama The Player in the role of Cha A-ryeong. She goes on to star in the military thriller Search in 2020, and then plays a student at the police academy in Police University in 2021.
In 2022, she played the lead role of Lee Shin-a in the romantic comedy Crazy Love. She briefly reprises her role as Cha A-ryeong in The Player 2: Master of Swindlers in 2024 and appears in 2025 in Way Back Love.
In 2026, she played Jeon Yi-gyeong in Crazy Urban Dreams (Mad Concrete Dreams), alongside Sim Eun-kyeong. She is also set to appear in Office Worker Who Sees Fate, scheduled for 2027.
In film, Krystal plays the lead roles in More Than Family and Sweet & Sour. In 2023, she played Han Yoo-rim in Cobweb, confirming that his career is now divided between TV dramas, film, and music.
