Im Soo-jeong (임수정), also known as Lim Soo-jung, is a South Korean actress born on July 11, 1980. She began her career in 1998 as a model for teen magazines before making her television debut in the series School 4 (2001–2002). His career took a decisive turn in 2003 thanks to the horror film A Tale of Two Sisters, for which her performance earned her several Best New Actress awards, including at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Korean Film Awards.
She quickly established herself as one of the most renowned actresses of her generation thanks to roles in …ing (2003), Sad Movie (2005), I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006), Happiness (2007), Woochi (2009), Finding Mr. Destiny (2010), Come Rain or Shine (2011) and All About My Wife (2012). Her performance in that film earned her the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Actress.
After several years spent primarily in film, Im Soo-jeong is making a highly anticipated return to television with Chicago Typewriter (2017), in which she co-stars with Yoo Ah-in. She then cemented her success with the series Search: WWW (2019), in which she plays the executive Bae Ta-mi, and then Melancholia (2021), in which she plays a passionate math teacher.
In 2023, she returns to the big screen with Cobweb and Single in Seoul. The following year, she joined the Disney+ series Low Life, for which she won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2026. That same year, she played the lead role of Kim Sun in the series Mad Concrete Dreams and also produces the film The Second Child, in which she plays Geum-ok.
Throughout her career, Im Soo-jeong has distinguished herself with sensitive and nuanced roles, alternating between dramas, romances, thrillers, and fantasy films.
