No sooner had Yoon Ha-na and Yoon Ha-ru returned in 2010 than they had to deal with a complication they certainly hadn't anticipated. In Episode 2 of « Dive Into You » («Je Plonge jusqu’à toi» in French), the twins played by Kim Ji-yeon and Jang Se-hyuk will try to adjust after swapping bodies, under the increasingly puzzled gaze of Jung Woo-jae (Park Seo-ham). Spoiler alert!
The first episode did indeed turn everything upside down. While returning from Woo-jae’s funeral, Ha-na and Ha-ru were involved in a car accident. An old camcorder mysteriously transported them back to 2010, to a time when Woo-jae was only 18 years old. Their journey through time, however, came with a body-swap.
Park Seo-ham hardly recognizes the twins he knows anymore
Finding Woo-jae alive immediately stirs up strong emotions in Ha-na and Ha-ru. New stills from Episode 2 show them in tears as they face the young man whom, from their perspective, they have just lost in the future.
Woo-jae, of course, has no idea what just happened. He doesn’t know that they’ve come from the future, that they know his fate, or that they’re now inhabiting each other’s bodies. Their reaction is therefore particularly difficult for him to understand. And things aren’t about to get any better.
Ha-ru, whose body now houses Ha-na, begins to show unusual sensitivity. Conversely, Ha-na (who is actually Ha-ru) surprises Woo-jae with much more direct physical contact and remarks he never expects. To Woo-jae, his two friends seem to have changed personalities overnight, and he still can’t figure out why.
Their body swap is already beginning to change the past
This confusion, however, could have consequences far more serious than just a series of embarrassing situations.
Ha-na and Ha-ru didn't return to 2010 by chance: now that they know Woo-jae's tragic fate, they'll try to prevent his death. But their mere presence in the past, combined with their body swap, is already beginning to change their interactions with him.
The relationship between the three characters could thus take a different turn from what they experienced the first time around. Each change, in turn, risks influencing the future that Ha-na and Ha-ru are trying to rewrite.
For Ha-na, the situation is all the more delicate because Woo-jae is her first love. She is reunited with the man she has just lost, but now must grow close to him while inhabiting her own brother’s body.
