Moon Je is a solitary novelist living on the fringes of society. Overnight, his life is turned upside down: a mysterious man, known only as «the Rat», steals his identity, his fortune and even his social existence. Stripped of all reference points, Moon Je finds himself trapped in a world where nothing belongs to him, not even his past.

Isolated, hunted down and reduced to a shadow of his former self, he soon realizes that he can't get his life back on his own. The loss of his identity becomes the starting point for a descent into a universe where every truth seems to conceal a deeper lie.

Ryu Jun-yeol Has His Entire Life Stolen from Him

Ryu Jun-yeol embodies Moon Jae, a particularly reclusive novelist who leads a secluded life and is known to the public only by his pen name.

But his life is turned upside down when a mysterious figure nicknamed «The Rat» manages to take absolutely everything from him: his identity, his name, and his fortune. The footage shows a completely shaken Moon Jae as he tries to make sense of what is happening to him.

Above all, his isolation will turn the situation into a real nightmare. Having lived for years out of the public eye, he discovers that even the people around him aren’t necessarily able to confirm that he really is who he claims to be.

To get his life back, he'll have to track down the person who stole it from him.

Sul Kyung-gu wants his money back

In this unlikely quest, Moon Jae will have to team up with a man who was far from being his ally. Sul Kyung-gu plays Noja, a pawnbroker determined to recover the money he lost.

His investigation will lead him straight to the strange case involving Moon Jae and «The Rat,» bringing the two men together around a common goal despite their very different interests.

The images offer a much more brutal glimpse of the character. In particular, Noja is shown chasing after someone with an iron bar in his hand, leaving little doubt as to the methods he’s willing to use to get what he wants.

Director Kim Hong-sun also praised the casting of Sul Kyung-gu for the role, describing him as «an actor with exceptional talent, perfectly suited for the role of Noja.».

But Moon Jae and Noja won't be the only ones trying to figure out what lies behind this case. Lee Kyu-hyung plays Sun Yong, a detective tasked with investigating the events surrounding Moon Jae.

A new image shows him scrutinizing several documents he has received with suspicion, while another hints at his determination to uncover the truth. His investigation is expected to gradually intersect with the manhunt led by Moon Jae and Noja, putting all three men on the trail of the same individual.

It remains to be seen whether they are all truly searching for the same truth… and, above all, who is behind «The Rat.».
