Holding On to the End of This Night

This new drama will bring together two characters who are complete opposites: a street cleaner who gave up his dream of becoming a pianist and a woman involved in drug trafficking.

Park Ji-hoon was offered the role of Choi Woo-sung, a man who now works as a janitor.

Yet his life could have taken a completely different turn. As a young man, Woo-sung dreamed of becoming pianist and had even attended schools specializing in the arts to pursue that goal. Reality eventually forced him to give up that dream, however. To support himself, he became a janitor and left behind the musical career he had once envisioned.

Yet the piano never completely disappeared from his life. During his breaks, Woo-sung secretly goes to a jazz café that is now closed, where he continues to play whenever he thinks he's alone. Until one day, someone catches him.

A woman walks into this place and discovers this part of his life that he had kept hidden until then. An encounter that will gradually turn her daily life upside down.

Update September 14: Just one day after the announcement regarding Park Ji-hoon, «Holding Onto the End of This Night» has already revealed its potential lead duo. Kim Si-ah has received an offer to join this new romance drama, and her agency confirms that she is currently considering the project. If both actors accept, they will play two young people with radically different lives: a janitor who gave up his dream of becoming a pianist and a small-time drug dealer.

Two very different lives that could become a refuge for one another

«Holding Onto the End of This Night» will revolve precisely around the encounter between two people living in radically different worlds.

On one hand, Choi Woo-sung is trying to make a living after giving up on his dream. On the other is a woman involved in the drug trafficking. The drama will tell the story of how these two characters, brought together under the night sky despite everything that separates them, will eventually become a light and a source of salvation for one another.

Woo-sung’s discovery of the piano is thus likely to be one of the starting points for their growing closeness, with a romance that seems to blend personal wounds, abandoned dreams, and a second chance.

Kim Si-ah was offered the role of Yoo Mi-ji, described as a low-level drug dealer.
